The EBU’s 68 member countries will decide in November whether Israel can take part in the contest.
The organisers of the Eurovision Song Contest have confirmed that a vote will be held at this year’s General Assembly in November to decide whether Israel will be allowed to participate in future editions of the competition.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced that its 68 member countries will cast a vote on Israel’s continued participation in the international contest.
Several countries – including Ireland, Spain, and the Netherlands – have already declared that they will withdraw from Eurovision 2026 if Israel is allowed to compete.
On 26 September, the EBU confirmed that all 68 member states will take part in the vote. This also includes non-participating member countries such as Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Jordan, and Lebanon.
